Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 pounds lean stew beef (1/2-inch cubes)
- 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar (or cider)
- 1/2 cup red wine (or use apple juice)
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 4 small cloves garlic
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (I like a little more)
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 tablespoons raisins or chopped dried apples or apricots
- 2 whole cloves
Preparation:
Combine all ingredients in the slow cooker. Cover and cook on LOW 7 to 9 hours. This recipe was shared on our forum.Serves 6.
