Picnic Beans

Recipe for picnic beans with bacon and green pepper and celery.

Ingredients:

  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 strips bacon, cooked, diced
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped red bell pepper or use pimiento, optional
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped celery
  • 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 2 cans pork and beans, (16 oz each)

Preparation:

Combine all ingredients; mix well. Spoon into a greased 2-quart baking dish. Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours.
Serves 6.
