Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 lbs. stew beef cubes
- 1 1/2 lbs. pork cubes
- 2 cups chopped onions
- 3 small green bell peppers, seeded and chopped
- 1 can (6 oz.) tomato paste
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup chili powder
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
Preparation:
Combine ingredients in slow cooker. Cover and cook on high for 6 to 8 hours, or until very tender. Shred meat with a potato masher or forks; serve over buns, potatoes, rice, or any pasta.
Frank's note: If you decide to prepare this on top of the stove, put in 6 qt. Dutch
oven; add 1
cup water and simmer 3 hours.
Serves 8 to 10.
