Ingredients:
- 1 pound extra lean ground beef
- 1/2 to 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 cans (14.5 ounces each) tomatoes, cut up
- 1 can (8 ounces) can tomato sauce
- 1 can (12 ounces) tomato paste
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 teaspoons dried parsley flakes
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil leaves
- 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Preparation:
In skillet , brown ground beef with onion and garlic. Drain. In slow cooker/Crock Pot, combine browned meat, onions, and garlic with remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
