Ingredients:
- 1 10-ounce package broad lasagna noodles broken into small pieces
- 1 pound lean ground round or chuck
- 1 pound sweet Italian sausage
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 12 ounces Mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 12 ounces ricotta or cottage cheese
- 1 can or jar (approximately 26 to 28 ounces) spaghetti sauce
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon basil
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 1/2 tablespoons dried parsley flakes
Preparation:
Cook lasagna pasta according to package directions until just tender; drain well. Brown ground beef and sausage. Drain well. Place in lightly greased slow cooker. Add pasta and remaining ingredients. Stir to mix thoroughly. Cover, cook on LOW for 7 to 9 hours, or on HIGH for 3 to 5 hours.
