Cook Time: 45 minutes
Ingredients:
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup finely crushed graham crackers
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 egg whites stiffly beaten
- heavy whipping cream, whipped
Preparation:
Beat egg yolks until thick and lemon colored. Gradually add sugar, beating constantly. Fold in graham cracker crumbs, chopped walnuts, baking powder, salt, and vanilla. Fold in beaten egg whites. Bake in a buttered 8-inch square baking pan at 350° for 35 to 45 minutes. Cool in pan for 10 minutes; Remove from pan, cut in squares, and serve topped with whipped cream and extra chopped nuts.
