Ingredients:
- 6 cups peeled sliced apples
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup water
- 3/4 cup sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1/3 cup butter
Preparation:
Arrange apple slices in a lightly greased 8 to 9-inch square baking dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon, salt, and 1/4 cup water. Combine flour and brown sugar; cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse meal. Spread topping over apples. Bake at 350° for 35 to 45 minutes. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.Serves 6.
